The Perfect Day in Branson this Summer.

I've taken the guess work out of it for you. Want to know what the perfect day IS in Branson, Mo this Summer? Let my family tell you from experience.

7am - 8am
Woke up and went to breakfast at Billy Gail's. Get there early people. This place is packed on the weekends but worth it!  My kids love the giant pancakes!!
This video says it best.

9am- 11:30pm
Headed over to the Titanic Museum Attraction for our 9am tour. The boys love their time spent here. It's interactive, full of actual artifacts from the Titanic, and we learn something new each time we visit. What a great way to teach our family about Titanic history, while creating memories of our own. The tour takes our family about 2 1/2 hours, so be prepared to spend quite a bit of time here.

12pm - 1pm
Lunch Time. We decided to eat light for lunch, so we stopped at the Sushi House. Great Sushi and it's fast too.

1pm - 4pm
My boys are adrenaline junkies, thrill seekers, adventurers. We saw this ride that takes you in a swing 100 feet in the air and couldn't resist. Well, to clarify, they couldn't resist. I was terrified. This is the sky coaster at the Tracks Family Fun Park in Branson, Mo. We laughed, we cried, we wanted to do it again. (By we, I certainly don't mean me. :) )

4pm
Wardrobe Change. It got warm, so we changed into shorts and decided to reward the boys' courage with Frozen Custard from Andy's. If you haven't tried the new craze that is sweeping the nation, you must! Andy's Frozen Custard is HEAVEN on Earth. They make a Titanic Sundae that is amazing. And BONUS...we ran into a great friend there too.

At the end of the day, we were exhausted. We decided to have pizza delivered and stayed in to watch a movie. All in all, it was the perfect day in Branson, Mo. So...What are you waiting for? Make YOUR plans for the Perfect Day in Branson, Mo. this summer too. I'll see you around town!

Are YOU A Titaniac?

Here is a test to discover if you are a Titan-iac.

Future Titan-iac :)
1. Do you love Titanic history?
2. Do you read anything Titanic related, that you can get your hands on?
3. Have you been to a Titanic exhibit or Museum?
4. Have you dressed as a Titanic passenger or crew member at some point in your life?
5. Have you tried to figure out if you are related to any of the passengers who sailed Titanic?
6. Do you have a collection of Titanic memorabilia?

If you answered YES to some or all of these questions, you are a Titan-iac and for that we salute you.

Research, Theories, studies, and books - Titan-iacs like us must get our hands on it all. Why are we so obsessed? It was a tragedy of epic proportions and there is so much to be learned about who was on the ship and why the ship sank to the bottom of the ocean. You see, we are passionate about this incredible moment in history and the people who lost their lives. Without us, Her history would die, but with us, we can continue to tell Her stories, so that she and her passengers and crew are never forgotten.

I think Titan-iac, C.J. Mook, put it best when he said, "I would love to see the Titanic Museum Attraction. It would be my Disney World."

At the Titanic Museum Attractions in Branson, Mo and Pigeon Forge, Tn., we take great pride in telling the stories of the passengers and crew who sailed Titanic. We have spent almost 30 years combing through archives, studying artifacts, and conducting extensive research to make sure that our tours are historically accurate. Our owner John Joslyn was co-leader of the second expedition to the Titanic.  The team spent 44 days at sea and they did 32 dives to the Titanic.  From this expedition John co-produced the first Titanic television shows. He has actually seen HER! Wow. We invite you to come see us and learn more about Titanic's history. Discover the truth and tell others. This will ensure that her Legacy will Live ON and we will expand our wonderful group of Titan-iacs across the globe.

Stay tuned to our Facebook page for a Titan-iac contest. God Speed.

My daughter and me, March 26. She got to meet and chat with the Captain in Pigeon Forge!

If You Love Downton Abbey, You'll Love This....

Beginning today through May 25, 2015, the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina will display the costumes from Downton Abbey. Why is this an important event for the crew at the Titanic Museum Attraction, you ask? Let me explain....

1.  Location proximity to Biltmore:
The Titanic Museum Attraction is just 1 1/2 hours away from Biltmore.

2. Titanic Connection to Biltmore:
There is an interesting connection between Biltmore and Titanic. Mr. and Mrs. Vanderbilt had booked passage aboard Titanic, but for some reason, decided to head home a week early on Titanic's sister ship, Olympic. However, the couple's manservant, Mr. Wheeler, stayed with the original plan to travel aboard Titanic with the Vanderbilts' luggage. Unfortunately, Mr. Wheeler did not survive the tragedy. An original personal letter written to their estate superintendent stating that they will be traveling aboard Titanic is on display at our museum along with the rest of the Biltmore Story.

3. Titanic Connection to Downton Abbey -
The story begins in April 1912 when the heir to the title of Earl of Grantham, who resides in Downton Abbey, perishes on the 'Titanic'...http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1608844
/plotsummary?ref_=tt_ov_pl )

4. Titanic Connection to The Costumes -
This temporary exhibit will display period clothing from 1912, the year that Titanic set sail.

We consider this a historical, educational event. Why not stay a night at Biltmore to see the exhibit and experience 1st Class accommodations and then head to Pigeon Forge where you can tour the permanent, interactive Titanic Museum Attraction and learn about the people who might have worn this clothing?
